“WIZKID IS MY CRUSH, I LOVE HIS VOICE, HE IS MY LULLABY” – BOBRISKY CONFESSES
In the past three month, Idris Okuneye a.k.a Bobrisky has become one of the most talked about Nigerian on Shat.
23 years old cross -dresser and skin lightening aficionado, Bobrisky rose to prominence as a result of his male barbie traits and weird mode of dressing.
Bobrisky became popular as a result of his hilarious stories on Snapchat.
In a recent interview, he opens up on how he became famous on Snapchat.
According to him:
”Social media is a very good platform whereby it makes you popular. I wasn’t thinking of being the famous Bobrisky and this famous bae.
I posted a short video of me dancing on Snapchat and I got to see many people tagging others and saying ‘OMG you need to go and check Bobrisky’s Snapchat. He is fabulous, the way he dances, his makeup, his outfit and before I knew it, people were sending me messages and request and i felt it was a very good thing since i was getting popular.
So, I moved to Instagram and I was seeing so many likes like OMG, this guy is so awesome. So to me I believe that Social media is a very good platform where you can actually put up what you, for people to get awareness, for people to know you, so I like it.”
Bobrisky who has been criticized severely on social media, said he loves to listen to Wizkid and he has a crush on him.

This weekend, the 'Orente' singer shocked his fans as he returned with amazing new Photoshop edits of himself with American reality stars, Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose and John Legend's wife, Chrissy Teigen. Wizkid
Nigeria needs to move on from singer’s loss of Starboy name to The Weeknd
We can’t continue to hate on a successful US singer for stretching his hands and claiming what no one truly made theirs.

Last night Nigerian music Twitter exploded into another episode of ‘Weeknd stole Wizkid’s Starboy name’. And my first thoughts were: ‘Aren’t we done with this’?
This issue cropped up again because Wizkid announced a new song with Drake, via Twitter, and The Weeknd also tweeted the name, and announced the release date of his next full-length project titled “Starboy”. The album will be made available globally on November 25, 2016.

Come on, it’s just a name. Wizkid can find another one. He found Starboy, didn’t he? It won’t bring on the end of life, if he searches for another name to represent his brand.
How long will Nigerians continue to agonise over Wizkid’s branding, and give themselves sleepless arguments over a man who is clearly enjoying his life and chasing new frontiers? Wizkid himself is failing to move on, although he does it subtly with hints dropped which betray the fact the he is yet to move on.

While we accept that Wizkid was done badly by The Weeknd, we also need to put things in perspective, accept the fact that someone smoother, with a stronger plan and marketing campaign jumped on a name that Wizkid has failed to ‘own’ by copyrighting it for business, and also releasing records with that title for street credibility. The Weeknd is basing all of his comeback and redefinition on that name. He has an album, a single and a video out with that name. Nigerians need to move on from this saga, and by doing so, encourage Wizkid to focus on developing a stronger brand identity. When he does that, he needs to learn from this experience and properly brand himself with more than a name.

Ycee still hangs on to ‘Omo Alhaji’ for dear life
Ycee still hangs on to ‘Omo Alhaji’ for dear life
You Need To Hear This if you love the original. But don’t expect to fall in love with this version.
Ycee who broke into the scene with ‘Kondo’, and amplified his reach and value by the success of ‘Jagaban’ isn’t looking to move past his next single anytime soon. The Tinny Entertainment rapper released Omo Alhaji in 2015, and has seen it blossom to become an early year hit song.
‘Omo Alhaji’, which was produced by E-Kelly, has kept the singer’s footprint in the pop scene, and the success from the single is still alive in the heart of Ycee. That’s why we have a remix right now, from Uhuru producer and singer, DJ Maphorisa.
Themba Sekowe, popularly known by his stage name DJ Maphorisa, is a South African record producer, disk jockey who can sometimes feature vocals in songs. As a record producer with a blend of House music and Afropop, he has worked with and has received production credits from several local and international notable artists including Wizkid, Kwesta, Uhuru, Drake, Black Coffee, and Runtown among others. DJ Maphorisa is presently signed to his record label New Money Gang Records upon quitting Kalawa Jazmee Records.
On paper, he brings all of that experience and more on to ‘Omo Alhaji’, by collaborating with Ycee for a remix. But there is not much to see here. Maphorisa simply takes the music, strips it of its beat, and layers it on to a template house beat, which has become clichéd, due to a long history of usage in South Africa. If anything, the song sounds the same, save for a verse by DJ Maphorisa, which fails to blend in.
For the dancefloor the relativity of the single will definitely be a favorite for rotation, and perhaps that is what the duo go for in the new video. This all for DJ Maphorisa’s profit though, and he scores heavy on this one.
As for Ycee, sales of this new song will be a boon, but as the conversations go, this does not make him relevant, neither does it paper over the glaring fact that he needs new music to keep his brand on the frontburner.
You Need To Hear This if you love the original. But don’t expect to fall in love with this version.
You Need To Hear This Davido makes a banging return with ‘Gbagbe Oshi’
You Need To Hear This
Davido makes a banging return with ‘Gbagbe Oshi’
This is a wholesome meal, from the Sony Music man, and definitely will be a shoo-in for one of the late-year hits of 2017.

There’s only as much as a creative soul can take from inactivity. Davido who signed over a lot of his music business to Sony Music Entertainment has had a late start this year.
Where others have raced out with singles this year, he has been patient, working on his first project from the music giants. At home he has subsisted on past glory and effective guest verses on collaborations.
‘Gbagbe Oshi’ isn’t the first song from the “Son Of Mercy” EP that we would have been bumping to. The original promotional and roll-out script had the collaboration with US singer Tinashe, ‘How long’ as the first of its kind. But as has been the case since he signed, the release was scrapped earlier in the month, with the singer embracing discontent and displeasure on social media.

He has his chance now; The EP has been announced, and everyone can now pre-order the 5-track special. ‘Gbagbe Oshi’ is the gift that comes with the pre-order, and it is such a delight.
Davido reprises his familiar role as the Shizzi’s partner in the studio, and the duo proceed to make magic. Thankfully, what his you first is a refreshing feel. We have missed Davido, and all of his energy and signature vocals. For all the fears that his creative control will be ripped from his hands, on this new song, we still have our own good old Davido.
The vocal delivery is tweaked a bit to fit in with the dancehall influence of the bit, but he occasionally resorts to the basics of his delivery, his artistic flows still intact, but with a certain patois edge. Where he finds happiness is on the layer of Afrobeat instrumentation that is ubiquitous on the production, with background horns firing intermittently.

But was it worth the wait? Is this song strong enough to justify his absence for many months? That isn’t the point here. The “Son Of Mercy” EP is what the focus is on, and only then can this conversation be had objectively.

“Like father like son” is not always the case. See stark difference between YBNL leader Olamide and his artiste Adekunle Gold
When M. I’s Chocolate City birthed Ice Prince, fans said Ice was trying hard to rap like his boss “M. I.” The same has been the case some other singers who emerged from "already-made" artists' platforms. The “son” always tries to be like the “father” to gain recognition and acceptance. But that hasn’t been the case with Adekunle Gold. Check out these stark differences between him and his boss “Olamide!”
If you pay close attention to their Choice of Music/Genre, you’ll see that Olamide is more of an indigenous rapper who raps in vernacular. But Adekunle Gold music inclination tends to the alternative, being soul and R&B. His music oozes that softness and soul in it. Olamide is nothing like that. He is on a more pop-rap side of things which could be one reason he is not anywhere on Adekunle Gold’s debut album.
The case is the same with their personal branding and Image. Olamide commands a gangster and street king persona. But Adekunle Gold seems to be a coolheaded species. His overall package conveys simplicity and depth.
Lastly, music Videos and storyline show Olamide to have a party-like kind of vibe and feel with a lot of booty shaking by video vixens. But Adekunle is the story teller. This skill is captured in music videos elaborately. I'm yet to see any of Adekunle Gold’s music video with a party-hard demeanor.
I WANT TO LICK YOU SIMI''-YCEE say's...simi RESPONDED
I WANT TO LICK YOU SIMI''-YCEE say's...simi RESPONDED
The Jamb question crooner, Simi, has openly declared and confirmed his relationship with Ycee. But some people still seem to see it as nothing but a mere stunt. Well, with all the celebrity media stunts and publicity, who would blame the doubting Thomas for not easily believing that some things are as reported?
Though some have termed Simi's love proclamation on twitter about her and Ycee a stunt, recent development proves otherwise. It looks like the guy involved, popular trap rapper, Ycee is playing along big time! So the claim is not coming from one end anymore.
The couple has probably been keeping their romance on the low and just recently decided to make it public for all to know. Or maybe they grew tired of keeping the secret couldn’t hold it in anymore. Ycee decided to break the news in such a grand style by taking to Simi’s page and openly declaring that he wants to lick her, with lots of tongue emojis. Jeez!!!! Here’s what he said: “Baby Girl Come Lemme Lick You.” It got more interesting when Simi came on board and gave a blushful response.
SIMI'S RESPONSE
In recent times, news of Adekunle God and Simi being involved romantically has been on air nonstop. But the duo constantly denied all speculations about them being romantically involved. Many people of cause didn’t believe them on that one. As at the time these two were seriously denying the allegations labeled against them, pictures of them either hugging in a beach or doing one or two of those love birds thing was seriously trending on the net. Could it have been leaked?
However, the beautiful Singer Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, professionally known and referred to as Simi, confirms her relationship with Omo Alhaji crooner Ycee. In a series of tweet, the jamb question crooner dropped a tweet for her fans who have been waiting to know who she's dating. To satisfy their curiosity, she disclosed the information to her fans. The revelation amazingly turned out to be least expected. Ycee? Gosh!!!
She had recently debunked the speculated relationship with Falz and Adekunle Gold. Now she comes out to say she's dating Ycee. Some fans got curious and asked if Ycee is not too young for her. But she replied that age is just a number. Ycee himself confirmed the relationship. A fan asked; why is it that you men of nowadays prefer to be in a relationship with older ladies? Do you agree with her that young men prefer older ladies? And would you happen to know why?
